ARCHIVES: Journal Entry: March 1st -- 8 weeks to Nationals Well, I have to say it has been a very hectic past 4 weeks. Sales with Body Plus have been very busy, I have taken on a lot of new clients for my consulting, I have been planning and finalizing details on my seminar and I of course have been preparing for Nationals. My career and family is also very important to me so juggling all of them sure does keep me busy. Luckily I have a great support network for keeping stress at bay. I started dieting on February 9th. The first week was a little tough as it is such an adustment for the body and it also takes me about a week to get used to balancing everything with my work etc. I am feeling pretty good now and am very excited about the show. I plan ahead so far in advance, but for me it just eliminates any worries or anxieties and I just coast into the show. I am too depleted towards the end to be worrying about details. I booked my suits and flight back in January. I still have finalize details on the hotel, my hair extentions etc, but is all coming together. I now have a nice tan again which feels kind of nice in February. My Irish blood usually has me looking pretty pale this time of year. I have been feeling very focussed and excited about Nationals. I am really strong in the gym right now and I have really become accustomed to rolling my butt out of bed and heading downstairs to my treadmill. I have just bumped my cardio up to 5 days and I am now incorporating intervals. They just make me drop the fat really easily. I posted some motivational sayings and photos in front of my treadmill to remind me of my goals. It makes it real for me. My Pro card is my every second thought as I prepare for this show. I want to look my best ever and I know it will be so. I would have to say the most motivating thing for me when I am preparing for a show is how I look different every day. A new line, a new vein. My legs are coming in super fast this year. I attribute this to the fact that I kept a little more cross training in my program during the off-season this year. I usually like to have my measurements done every two weeks when I am preparing. I use the mirror to determine the majority of my progress, but I just love to see the caliper measurements get smaller and smaller. I was 136lbs and 12% about a week ago. I will post my present measurements so you can see the change as well. It is just for fun. I know the next 8 weeks will fly by so quickly. I will be on stage at Nationals before I know it. Clarence is being super supportive. He has taken on the roll of preparing all my meals so I can retire each night at a reasonable time and keep all stress under control. He is the best!
