What is the best way to really bring out a six pack? I am dying to have real abs but no matter how hard I train… it seems I can’t get them to show. Please help!

Answer:

This is a great question and one that many people have. The bottom line here is that you can have the best set have abs from training them regularly but if you don’t adhere to a sound nutrition program to lose the fat then they will never be on display. Focus on consistency and not perfection when it comes to nutrition. Eat small frequent meals every day, consume lean protein with each meal. Also, consume only low glycemic carbs such as yams, oatmeal, brown rice and veggies. Don’t forget to get at least 15% of your calories from healthy fats such as flax and fish oils

Weight train 3-5 days a week with a balanced program to improve lean muscle which will help rev up your metabolism. Lastly… be sure to get enough cardio. The amount and intensity will vary from individual to individual depending on your metabolism and fitness level. A good rule of thumb is at least 4 x per week for 30 minutes. Also… try to keep your heart rate at 65% of your maximum heart rate. This helps you to burn more calories from fat. Cardio on an empty stomach and first thing in the morning is a great way to shed the fat.
